The Story Behind Hello Coral Chaos
Every business has a story, and Hello Coral Chaos is no exception. For me, this business is about more than products, designs, or making sales. It's about creativity, family, perseverance, and finding something of my own to build in the middle of life's unpredictability.
Living with chronic illness has taught me that life doesn't always go according to plan. Energy can be limited, everyday things can take extra effort, and sometimes you have to adjust your expectations and find a different way forward. Even when life gets complicated, there's still room for creativity, laughter, and new possibilities.
That's part of where the name *Hello Coral Chaos* comes from. *Coral* represents warmth, creativity, personality, and heart. *Chaos* represents the wonderfully imperfect reality of life—the unexpected twists, the messy moments, the big ideas, and everything in between. Put them together, and you have a name that feels like a reminder that life doesn't have to be perfectly organized to be meaningful.
My logo tells another part of the story.
The two spoons forming a heart represent my connection to the spoonie community and the experience of living with chronic illness. The teal spoon represents that part of my journey, while the coral spoon reflects the creative spirit and warmth behind the brand. The small pink ribbon honors my mom, whose place in my story is important to me, And the hand-drawn swirl represents chaos, creativity, and the fact that our stories are always unfolding.
Creating Hello Coral Chaos has given me a way to channel my ideas into something positive and build a business around the things I enjoy. From digital downloads and creative designs to clothing, handmade goodies, and other fun finds, this little corner continues to grow and evolve. I don't believe you have to have everything figured out to start something new. Sometimes you just have to begin where you are, use what you have, and give yourself permission to see where the journey takes you.
That's what Hello Coral Chaos means to me: making room for creativity, embracing life's imperfections, honoring the people and experiences that shape us, and finding joy in the middle of it all.
